Most grocery store "pasture-raised" and "grass-fed" labels only require the animal spent SOME time on pasture. Ours are raised on pasture from birth and finished on pasture — no feedlot stint at the end. That's the difference between beef that tastes like it grew up outside and beef that tastes like it grew up eating corn slurry.

Every cut of our beef is USDA Prime — the top ~3% of American beef by marbling and quality. Prime is what steakhouses serve; grocery stores almost never carry it (Costco has it occasionally at a markup, most supermarkets never). That grade is why our steaks eat differently than what you can find on a shelf. Prime is a beef designation — our pork and poultry are pasture-raised but not USDA-graded (no equivalent grade exists).

Depends on the tier. A Quarter Steer share (~8–10 lbs) fits in about 1 cubic foot — one drawer of a standard side-by-side fridge freezer. A Half Steer share (~16–18 lbs) wants ~2 cubic feet. A Whole Steer share (~33–36 lbs) really wants a small chest freezer — a 3-cu-ft model runs $150-200 at Home Depot.

We'll swap it. Email us within 7 days of delivery and we'll credit the cut on your next box (or ship a replacement, your call). Ranch Club members can also set cut preferences in their account so we can rotate away from anything you don't love from the start.

Year-round. All boxes ship in insulated foam coolers with dry ice or gel packs sized for the delivery time and season. Summer shipments get extra insulation and expedited routing. If your box arrives thawed or warm, we replace it — no photos or paperwork required.
